Allianz Arena - details and images
Allianz Arena is a stadium dedicated exclusively to sports is king and "house" the two biggest clubs in Munich, Bayern and TSV 1860, taking the place of the legendary 2005 Olympic Stadium.
Located in the north of Munich, Allianz Arena was built specifically for the 2006 World Cup, the inauguration took place on May 30, 2005.
The cornerstone was laid in 2002, and the cost of construction amounted to 340 million euros. But everything was worth it because Allianz Arena is one of the most modern stadiums in Europe.
It's the first stadium in the world that can change the color of the outer changing it according to the organizers of the event. It is red when Bayern plays, the blue and white for the first representative TSV.
Owned jointly by the two clubs, Allian Arena can accommodate up to 69,901 spectators, of which 66,000 seats are seated. CM 2006 debut match was played here, and most important game was Portugal-France semi-final.
