Izvoare resort located at 926 meters altitude (27 km from Baia Mare, on DJ 183), on a volcanic plateau, surrounded by fir trees, under the Ignis peak, in the SV part of the Gutai Mountains, is a climatic and ski resort.

The Cora ski slope has a medium difficulty degree, the length of 730m, the difference of 125m level and does not benefit from night lighting and artificial snow. The altitude at departure is 1,025m, and at arrival 890m and is serviced by ski lifts.

The ski slope Poiana Soarelui has a small degree of difficulty, the length of 365m, the difference of 50m level and benefits from night lighting, but not artificial snow. The altitude at departure is 1,025m, and at the arrival of 950m, it is also serviced by ski lifts.

The Brazi ski slope has a low degree of difficulty, the length of 250m, the difference of 35m level and does not benefit from night lighting and artificial snow. The altitude at departure is 910m, and at the arrival of 880m and is serviced by ski lifts.

For lovers of the mountain, possible routes are: Runcu-Piesca cabin, under Plesca Mare peak, and TataruJui keys, the only gorge in the country formed in andesite rock (on the trail, 3-3 1/2 hours); the "Taul lui Dumitru" mountain and Breaza peak (on the trail, 1-2 hours); Ignis peak (on the trail, 1-2 hours), with interesting anthropomorphic rocks; Paltin pass, Pintea's spring, Gutaiul Mare peak (on the trail, 5-6 hours).

Izvoare resort has a tonic climate, stimulant, rich in ultraviolet radiation and with an accentuated ionization of the atmosphere, with excellent conditions of rest and recovery, offering the possibility of an escape from the stress and urban agglomeration.
