District Asansör - details and images
Asansör District is named after the lift installed in the nineteenth century and offers visitors the opportunity to look at the city of Izmir at an altitude of 50 m. The peak is also a café with terrace.
The elevator is located down the street Sokak Dario Moreno, and was built by an enterprising Jew, in 1907, with the aim of helping the elderly to climb the hill. At first hydraulic lift was, but was restored in 1993 and runs on electricity.
