Bucovina, RomaniaThe Veterans cave took its name from the cradle of Yanovich, the commander of the Austrian army stationed in Caransebeş, who re-fortified the cave at the end of the 17th century. The cave is dug in the left bank of the Danube, at the Cazanele Mari, in the Ciucaru Mare mountainous massif, 500 m downstream from the Cave from Gura Ponicovei, under the wall called the Câza Curii.
