Canillo

Canillo

Canillo is the capital city of the region with the same name. Here you'll find a great number of Andorra's traditional old mountain houses, the "borda", many of which include restaurants offering traditional cuisine. In Canillo you'll find several historic churches and chapels, many dating back to the 11th century, lending the region and resort a unique charm. For an après-ski fix, many of the locals swear by the "Camping Pla", which offers great parties and equally good cocktails. Also recommended is the Caldea Spa, Europe's largest thermal spa, which is located on a natural hot spring, just a few kilometres from Canillo.

Pas de la Casa

Pas de la Casa

The resort of Pas de la Casa is located directly on the border of France, at an altitude of 2,080 m. European competitions were held here - but the area is also very appealing to tourists. There is a wide variety of recreational activities available off-piste, which fulfil all wishes! Stroll through the shops and take advantage of the low tax rate for a bargain hunt. After that, you can stop off in one of the many restaurants to let yourself be spoilt by regional and international specialities. Feeling refreshed, you can then move on to one of the many bars, pubs and clubs in the town, to turn the night into day!

El Tarter

El Tarter

With its ski area Grandvalira, El Tarter is perfect for families, as many of the accommodations are self-catered and childcare service is available in many places. The access to the Alta Badia ski area is also done easily. Despite its small size, El Tarter is popular because of its après ski parties at L'Abarset Restaurant, so that party lovers will also get their money's worth. The small ski resort is also known for being the host of various FIS races during the worldcup, which means that there are many international guests in resort.

Soldeu

Soldeu

The lively village of Soldeu lies at a snow-secure altitude of 1,710 m and is situated directly at the pistes of the largest ski area of the country, the Grandvalira. Its location directly on the slopes makes for fantastic views across the Pyrenees. The village is full of houses in chalet style with stone walls and wooden roofs. Moreover there are several restaurants, bars and dance locations, so that it's impossible to get bored after your day out skiing. A leisure centre with a thermal spa, a swimming pool and an ice rink ensure additional entertainment. Here everyone, young and old, will pass an enjoyable winter holiday – and all this in front of a marvellous mountain panorama.
