Bregenzerwald este o regiune montană și submontană (înălțimea Alpilor nu depășește 2500-2600 m), cu o salbă de 22 localități. Situată în provincia Voralberg, în partea de vest a Austriei, Bregenzerwald este o regiune de munte din apropierea graniței cu Germania și Elveția, la doar câțiva km depărtare de Bodensee. Accesul se poate face cu mașina sau cu trenul, distanța fiind de aprox. 60 km de Bregenz.Bregenzerwald mai oferă și 300 km de piste schi fond și 200 km trasee de iarnă.
