Sitges became a fashionable resort in the early twentieth century, the period after which remained a legacy of elegant villas and mansions. In the early 60's Sitges resort vacations have gotten a bohemian atmosphere, in stark contrast with the Spanish dictator Franco. Sitges is a holiday town with wide beaches, clean water, a steep shore and an avenue bordered by palm trees.
