Roses is one of the oldest towns Catalan, located on the Costa Brava, 30 km from the border with France. Roses is situated at the northern end of the bay with the same name and although in the last 40 years tourism development took off, remained quiet and relaxing resort, retaining much of its original charm. Blanes is located in the southern end of Girona province at the mouth of the river Tordera. The resort has 4 km of coastal beaches, the most common being S `Abanell and Platja de Blanes. Blanes resort is a famous destination more relaxed than Lloret de Mar and Tossa de Mar, the beaches are less crowded. Though the image of the city was affected by tourism development, still retains the historic old fishing village atmosphere, old buildings and cafes.
