Kranjska Gora

Kranjska Gora

The resort of Kranjska Gora, with its 1,403 residents, is located near the Triglav National Park, surrounded by mountains and glacial lakes. The alpine holiday resort in the Northwest of Slovenia is known as a relaxation and winter sports resort. Even though Slovenia is becoming more and more attractive to winter sports fans, the traditional charm of the country has not disappeared. This is in part due to the Nordic Centre Planica, where ski jumping and flying as well as cross-country training and competitions take place based on Slovenian tradition. Eight ski jumping hills can be found in the Nordic Centre Planica in Kranjska Gora. Cross-country fans will certainly get their money's worth in summer as much as in winter: in winter, the outdoor cross-country trails are utilised and in summer, the fun continues in the covered cross-country polygon. Those who are still active in the evening will find an illuminated night slalom obstacle course available to enjoy.
