Toulouse, the fourth largest city in France, cultural and economic center of southern France, the university town of 1230, a major town in Languedoc and in the Haute-Garonne county, is situated on the right bank of the Canal Midi Garon and where in 1681 linking the Mediterranean and Atlantic. The city of Toulouse was established over 2000 years by a Celtic population that settled there. Later, in the first century BC, the Romans occupied the city and called it Tolosa.
