The first documentary record of the name Amsterdam is a document issued on 27 October 1275 by Count Floris V of Holland and Zeeland. The exact date on which Amsterdam has received city rights is uncertain, but most likely it is that the Bishop of Utrecht Avesnes Guy was the one who gave these rights in 1306. From the fourteenth century, Amsterdam flourished, largely due to trade that you practice with the cities of the Hanseatic League. In 1345 there was a near miracle Eucharistic Kalverstraat, Amsterdam became a city of pilgrimage to convert the population to Protestantism.

Boekelo is a Dutch village in the Enschede district in the south of the Netherlands with a population of about 3,000 people and is located just west of the village of Usselo. The village is best known for the international equestrian military event, Boekelo Enschede, but also for the salt industry that later moved to Hengelo and the Grolsch brewery, which moved here leaving the factories in Groenlo and Enschede. The old site of the Texoprint factory, the former Boekelosche Stoomblekerij in 1888, has been transformed into a new residential area, "De Bleekerij". The industrial buildings and the chimney from the construction site have received a destination within the urban development plan and, therefore, will be preserved for the future.
