It is headed by Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, while the United Arab Emirates and emir. Abu Dhabi lies on a T-shaped island, in front of the Arabian Gulf (Persian). The city population was 860,000 people in 2007 and it is estimated that by 2030 the number of people will live in this city will exceed 3 million. In order to adapt the city for such a population, large projects are currently underway to modernize the infrastructure.

Ras Al-Khaimah (Arabic: رأس الخيمة, Ras al-Khaymah, which means "top of the tent") is one of the emirates as part of United Arab Emirates, located in the eastern Gulf. It is located in the north of the UAE bordering the Gulf of Oman. The city has a population of 263,217 inhabitants (2008 census). The city has two main sections Old Ras Al Khaimah and Nakheel, on either side of the creek. It is served by the Ras Al Khaimah International Airport in Al Jazirah Al Hamra.
