Ever since the 1960s, it has grown to be one of the most important holiday resorts in Trentino. The lift systems right in Folgarida offer quick access to the ski area and other winter sports resorts such as e.g. Marilleva and Madonna di Campiglio. Like this, all pistes on the various mountains can be used easily. The ice stadion with its ice rink are a good way to spend your leisure time. The resort is very centrally located and is known as the artistic and cultural centre of Val di Fiemme, offering guests numerous leisure time opportunities. Cross-country enthusiasts are also familiar with Tesero, as the 1991, 2003 and 2013 Nordic ski world championship took place here. San Martino di Castrozza (1487 m) is a tourist resort (winter and summer), located in the upper valley of Primiero, in eastern Trentino. The west, which has 428 inhabitants, is part of the municipality of Siror, while east of 135 inhabitants, is a hamlet of Tonadico. Since 2016, the resort will be entirely within the new municipality Primiero San Martino di Castrozza.

Especially dominant is the rock formation of the Santnerspitze (2,414 m) and the famous Schlern (2,564 m).

St. Christina lies at 1,428 m and is the geographic centre of Val Gardena. It is located on the sunny side of Val Gardena and is distinguished by the striking Langkofel cliffs. Kurzras maybe small, however that does not mean that is doesn't offer the amenities required for a relaxing holiday.But winter sports fans not only come here due to the good infrastructure. It is rather the ski area that attracts them, which is accessible via chair lift or gondola directly from Kurzras. The ski areas at the Schnalstaler Glacier offers skiing from October until May - which extends the regular season considerably. The leisure time offers away from the pistes however, are also worth mentioning - never mind if it be sporty and active or culturally based.

Bolzano is the capital of South Tyrol, the German-speaking Italian. It is the largest city in the region and the archaeological museum is world renowned for the ice man "Otzi". It is also called Italian Christmas capital because of the specific market with Christmas. Italian city of Bolzano is an Austrian cuisine. In the center you can hear German or local dialect. From Bolzano you can go to the mountains no matter which direction you go, the most picturesque is the south. Many mountain huts are open until late September, and information can be obtained from CAI and SAT alpine clubs.
