Air Force Museum - details and images

United States Air Force Museum Saqr al-Jazira Arabia is located on the eastern ring road of Riyadh's, between exits 10 and 11.

The museum displays the history of the Kingdom of Saudi Air Force, from its foundation (in 1920) until now. The museum includes an outdoor static park and a vast modern museum inside.

The museum contains a mix of models and authentic aircraft to include, inter alia, aircraft used in the past by the Saudi Air Force - along with explanatory video (in English and Arabic), equipment, flight simulators and tools.

The main attraction is the Dakota DC3 aircraft (HS-R-1), now fully restored, the King Abdul Aziz was given to him by President Roosevelt. Visitors can climb aboard the aircraft to see what conditions in the early years traveling royalty of Saudi air transport.

The main theme of the museum is the Kingdom of Saudi Air Force, from airplanes to today's modern fleet of aircraft.

Placed in the museum are interactive video screens that allow visitors to explore on your own, the history of Saudi air fleet.

Hours: Tuesday - Sunday, 09.00 - 12.00 and 16.00 - 21.00.
