Queen Victoria was the first monarch who established residence in Buckingham Palace in 1837. And when major changes have taken place. One of these changes was the removal of huge portions of the marble that is found today in an area called Tyburn and is known as the Marble Arch (Marble Arch).

Palace rooms have become accessible to visitors in 1990, after the powerful fire that damaged a part of Windsor Castle. English company then refused to fund repairs, such as Queen Elizabeth had to allow tourists access to the palace for raising funds for the reconstruction of the second to residences.

Nowadays, Buckingham Palace is used not only as a residence for the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh, but for administrative affairs of the monarchical institution. The Palace rooms and suites, the official visits of His Majesty receives guests at the Palace. Over the summer, the change takes place guards in front of Buckingham Palace.

Changing the Guard: this takes place at 11:30 am every day from April to late July and the rest of the year when the weather allows.

The State Rooms, Queen's Gallery and the Royal Stables (only available between 1 August and 28 September) - Adult: £ 28.5, under 17 years: £ 16, Under 5 years - free.
Family ticket - 2 adults and 3 children under 17 years - 73 pounds.

Tickets can be purchased at the ticket office located at the visitor entrance on Buckingham Street Road. It is open from 9:15 am to 5:00 pm. Are all major credit cards accepted.

The nearest metro stations are: Victoria, St.James' s Park and Green Park.
