Chapel Bridge (Kapellbrücke) - details and images
Reuss River flows into the lake, which is why there are several bridges in the city.
The most famous is the Chapel Bridge (Kapellbrücke). It was built in the early fourteenth century, with a beautiful wooden roof and an octagonal water tower, which currently houses a gift shop. Tower Bridge passes octagon-shaped water (Wasserturm), a thirteenth-century fortification. Bridge with its Tower is the city emblem.
