House with Deer - Sighisoara - details and images

House with Stag named after the deer head mounted on one corner of the building. Architectural design is a specific Transylvanian Renaissance. This is likely to have been built during the eighteenth century. The building is characterized by robustness and balance proportions. Spectacular ground floor are arching, plaster and stone surrounds skin with small window overlooking the market.

Because of its importance, she entered a restoration process that began in 1988 and completed only in 2001. Restoration works have capitalized on the coffered ceilings (specifically Renaissance decorative elements), a painted room and painting the walls with inscriptions. Currently, the building houses a modern hostel, a restaurant with traditional dishes and a Romanian-German cultural center.
