Jungfraujoch - details and images

All the scenic wonders of Switzerland are concentrated in the central region called the Bernese Oberland, and the trip by train to the Jungfraujoch is the culmination of all trips to great heights. At 3475 meters, the terminal train station Jungfraujoch is the highest in the world. It is preferable to come here in the evening or early morning to avoid the crowds.
Once you arrive to visit Eispalast (Ice Palace) and the Sphinx Terrace with a view of the Mönch and Jungfrau peaks.
Vary little way to return and take the traditional route to the village of Grindelwald, with a first class ski area and most picturesque resorts. In Interlaken stay at the Grand Hotel Victoria-Jungfrau and Spa. Brought luxury hotel is a monument, apparently untouched (because of the frequent renovations) for the construction of 1865.
Travel by train to Jungfraujoch: a round trip journey offered daily from Interlaken (58 km southeast of Bern, 145 km south-west of Zurich) and Grindelwald (27 km east of Interlaken).
When: June-September. Do not bother if your journey is a day of cloudy or foggy.
