La Praça do Comércio - details and images
La Praça do Comércio (Trade Square) is located in the city of Lisbon, Portugal, by the Tagus River. The square is still known as Terreiro do Paço (Piazza del Palazzo), because the Royal Palace Ribeira was here until it was destroyed by the 1755 Lisbon earthquake. After the earthquake, the market was completely remodeled as part of the reconstruction of Baixa de at the first marchiz of Pombal.
