New York Central Park - details and images

It is one of the most beautiful and largest parks in the world, over 843 acres of greenery, instead of walk, jog, picnic, play, and more than one park is a meeting place. The project was created in 1858 by Frederick Law Olmsted and Calvert Vaux, and was one of the most ambitious urban planning projects, difficult even in a booming New York. We actually take more than 16 years until everything was ready, there are a total planted over 500,000 trees, shrubs and bushes. But they have brought huge amounts of rock and soil for hills, lakes were further mapped and the grasslands were installed several bridges of stone and iron. A difficult project, but in the end a great result.
