Reserve Glodeasa - details and images

Glodeasa is a secular virgin forest of beech and fir, aged between 200-300 years and heights of 40-45 m. Since the area does not perform logging, forest preserves evidence of the evolution of forest cover our mountains. It is one of the few remaining virgin forests in the country, being a rarity in Europe. The area proposed for protection shows a remarkable variety of landscapes: forests, rocks, rocks up to date, meadows, gorges, freshwater. The quality on this site is the numerous species of rare plants found on the national Red List.

Rare and very rare species of flora: HERMINIUM MONORCHIS, GOODYERA repens, EPIPOGIUM APHYLLUM, MONOTROPA HYPOPITYS, Euphrasia MICRANTHA, CORALLORHIZA trifid
Fauna: bear (Ursus arctos), wolf (Canis lupus), lynx (Lynx lynx), hazel hens (Tetrastes Bonasa), owl (Carbuncle Carbuncle), chaffinch (Fringilla coelebs), jay (GLANDARIUS garrulus), woodpeckers (Dendrocopos Picoides TRIDACTYLUS AND leucotos)
