Stupinigi hunting lodge - details and images

The hunting lodge of Stupinigi is a residence, originally used for hunting, built for the Savoy family. The work, built on a project by Filippo Juvarra, was started in May 1729 and was completed in 1733.
The Stupinigi hunting lodge is one of the monumental jewels of Turin, 10 km from Piazza Castello, in the perfect direction. Built on the land of Emanuele Filiberto's first donation to the Order of Saints Maurizio and Lazzaro (1573), he is currently owned by Fondazione Mauriziano, a government agency dedicated to preserving and improving it. Restored to the public after a major restoration work, the Palazzina di Caccia - among the most extraordinary complexes of the 18th century in Europe - has the full dignity of the museum with its original furniture, paintings, masterpieces of execution of the cabinet and the design of the territory.
