Sumiyoshi Taisha Shrine - details and images
Sumiyoshi Grand Shrine is a Shinto shrine in the city district Sumiyoshi Osaka - Japan. This is the main shrine of all shrines in Japan Sumiyoshi.
However, the oldest shrines to frame the Sumiyoshi Sanjin, three kami Sumiyoshi, Sumiyoshi shrine in Hakata is. It is called by locals "Sumiyoshi-san" or "Sumiyossan" and is famous for the many visitors who come to the altar for the New Year hatsumōde.
It gives the name of a style of architecture known as the altar-zukuri sumiyoshi.
