A visit to Van Gogh museum is a unique experience during a vacation in Amsterdam. The museum contains the largest collection of Van Gogh's paintings in the world. The exhibits offer visitors the opportunity to observe closely the evolution of the artist or his paintings compare with other artists of the nineteenth century. The museum also offers its visitors with various exhibitions and other artistic subjects of the nineteenth century.

Van Gogh Museum's permanent collection includes works by Vincent Van Gogh and other artists works. Van Gogh's works are organized chronologically into five periods, each representing a different stage of life and creation and painter. The five periods and areas of the museum are: Netherlands, Paris, Arles, Saint-Remy and Auvers-sur-Oise. Van Gogh Museum is located in Amsterdam's Museum Quarter, between the Rijksmuseum and Stedelijk Museum.

Entry to the museum is located at Paulus Potterstraat 7. The Van Gogh Museum can be reached by tram 2 or 5 from Central Station. The museum is equipped with facilities for the handicapped.

Schedule:
Daily from 10:00 to 18:00, closed on 1 January.

It is not necessary to make a reservation, but groups should be less than 15 people.

From Central Station Tram 2 or 5 to Nieuw Sloten to the station to Amstelveen Binnenhof Van Baerlestraat. From Amsterdam Zuid / WTC, tram 5 (towards Central Station) to Van Baerlestraat station. You can take tram 12 to station 3 and Van Baerlestraat trams and buses 16 and 24 or 145, 170 or 172 to station Museum.
