Wood Spoon Museum - details and images
The spoons are authentic, ie spoons that have been used, and others are only decorative. The initial interest of Prof. Ion Ţugui became a passion and he tirelessly sought, everywhere, this modest object that, however, harmoniously combined the useful with the beautiful, crossed mountains and valleys, hills and plains, along and along of the country, collecting wooden spoons from all over Romania. Considering that such a domestic object can not be lacking no other peoples have endeavored to include in its collection copies from other corners of the world.
The variety of these objects, after the place where they were worked, the varieties of wood used, the carving, the motifs, the ornamentation as well as the diversity of their use, has aroused the interest and the conviction that they are in front of artistic manifestations that deserve to be revealed.
