                The first documentary record of the name Amsterdam is a document issued on 27 October 1275 by Count Floris V of Holland and Zeeland. The exact date on which Amsterdam has received city rights is uncertain, but most likely it is that the Bishop of Utrecht Avesnes Guy was the one who gave these rights in 1306.

                Walking with boats on the canals of Amsterdam are a great way to see the city on water. These walks last around 90 minutes and take visitors through the city and the harbor. If you feel energetic enough you can rent a bicycle (Canal Bike) from different points of renting one of the city. Costa about eight per hour per person.
