Channel Islands or the Channel Islands are a group of islands in the English Channel between England and France. The islands are grouped into two provinces (bailiwicks), Guernsey and Jersey, both British crown dependency, but not parts of the United Kingdom
nor the European Union. The total population is approximately 160,000 inhabitants.
