Paphos, the mythical birth place of the goddess Aphrodite, is a city on the coast of Cyprus, 153 km away from Nicosia.
In ancient times, there were two locations called Old Paphos and New Paphos. Nowadays, the inhabited area is New Paphos. The resort benefits from a Mediterranean climate, with abundant sunlight all year round.
Paphos has five major parts: Aphrodite, goddess of beauty, the Apostle Paul (who arrived in Paphos in the first century, on his way to Rome), Paphos, son of Pygmalion and the Greek Empire - Roman. The 5th century landmark is the fact that the entire city was declared petrimouniul archaeological site and included in UNESCO.
Pissouri is located between Limassol and Paphos and belongs to the Limassol district, a locality located on a hill at 245 m above sea level, generally accessible by car from these cities. The administrative area of Pissouri is the third largest in the Limassol district. The main settlement of Pissouri is about three kilometers away from the bay called Cape Aspro.
Polis is a small town in north-western island of Cyprus, near the Akamas peninsula and the Gulf Chrysochous. It is a quiet resort, residents income is supplemented by agriculture and fishing. The surroundings are populated coastal villages offering typical Cypriot hospitality, culture and cuisine, unique flora and abundant fauna.
Polis is served by the fishing port Latsia - an attraction famous for its fish taverns and boat trips to nature reserve.
