Situated between the Fagaras Mountains, and Lotrului Cindrel, Sibiu is located in the depression Cibin, crossed the river with the same name, taken from the Latin name of the town which was Cibiniensis / Cibinium. Also, the town is bounded north and east of the plateau above the valley reaching down Tarnavelor Cibin by Gusteritei Hill.
Later in 1692, thanks to the Austrian influence, Sibiu became the capital of Transylvania at a time when the city experienced a tremendous economic and cultural development. In those years Brukenthal Palace was built.

Dumbrăveni, before 1945 Ibaşfalău (German: Elisabethstadt, Saxon dialect: Eppeschdorf; Hungarian: Erzsébetváros), is a town in the north of Sibiu County, in the centre of Transylvania, central Romania.
The town lies on the banks of the Târnava Mare River, 20 km east from the city of Mediaş, 20 Km from the city of Sighisoara and 77 Km from city of Sibiu. Gegraphical, is located on the left side of the river Târnava, in the middle Plateau region of Transylvania, namely Plateau Târnavelor.

Orasul Sebes este situat în partea centrala a României, în sud-vestul Transilvaniei, în judetul Alba. Drumurile europene E 68 ( Deva- Sibiu- Brasov) si E 81 ( Cluj- Sibiu- Pitesti), drumul national 67 (de pe Valea Sebesului) si alte drumuri judetene trec prin Sebes.
În oras exista si o gara, pentru rute precum Bucuresti- Brasov- Sibiu, mergând spre vest (Deva- Arad). Sebesul se gaseste la 15 km de Alba-Iulia, la 55 km de Sibiu ( Sibiul are si un areroport international) si la 63 km de Deva, în apropierea varsarii râului Sebes în râul Mures.
