About Bled

Bled, a town which until 1918 was called Veldes, is a famous mountain resort in Slovenia. The city is located in the Julian Alps, Lake Bled mountain (Blejsko Lake), within which there is a small island (Blejski Otok) occupied by a medieval monastery (St. Mary's church).
