Located a few kilometres from the lake edge and the town centre. Wanaka is approximately a two hour drive from Queenstown town centre and the airport. Wanaka is a seven hour drive from Christchurch. There is a small domestic airport located on the outskirts of the town.There are a number of different room types at the resort. This listing is for the standard hotel room. While these are nicely furnished they are fairly small. There is some excellent views from many of the rooms.The restaurant serves modern New Zealand cuisine with a twist, the signature dishes include the table BBQ, Fondue, and the Oak steak. There is seating for 100 persons inside and 50 outside. In winter up to three open fires keep the place warm and provide a very nice ambience in the restaurant.A resort style complex of buildings. There are no buildings over two storeys in height, because of this there are no elevators.A small functional lobby.This is a new style in property for Wanaka. The main feature is its 7 outdoor pools, which include two heated swimming pools and five spa pools. In addition there is an on site spa.
