In 2009: BUILDING OF THE YEAR IN LATVIA, 1st Prize in the Renovation Category the conversion of the building for hotel purposes.
In 2010: INTERIOR DESIGN AWARD OF THE YEAR, 1st Prize for Hotel and Restaurant NEIBURGS
The hotel has been remodelled with great respect for its architectural heritage, taking care to conserve and restore the historical detailing of the interior finish painted ceilings, old doors and parquet floors wherever possible. The pierced metal decorations of the old ventilation hatch covers have been reused to hide the unsightly grilles of the air conditioning system, and the wall murals reference patterns from the historical tile of the stairwells. The complicated task of preserving the wonderful proportions and style of the Art Nouveau architecture of the building has come together with the desire to provide guests with the greatest possible comforts and a true home away from home in the very centre of Old Riga be it just a short stay to see a performance at the Riga Opera, a family city break or a prolonged business trip.
