Location: Built in 1860 for Princess Kholle, this central Stone Town hotel is a minute's walk from the Zanzibar Ferry Terminal. The house has been lovingly renovated over three years into a boutique hotel.
General Description and Facilities: Each of the eleven rooms and suites are uniquely designed using a combination of Swahili and Franco-Creole influences.
Kholle House is not only rich in history but also in color. Turmeric walls, stained glass details and polished, nutmeg floors accented with inlaid marble from the original construction are reminiscent of local spices and reflect the vibrant culture of Zanzibar.
