Hapuku Lodge is situated 12kms north of the marine town of Kaikoura. 2.5hours north of Christchurch and 1.5hours south of Blenheim. Both these cities have major airports with Christchurch being an international airport. Two large (80m²/900ft²) hotel-style Lodge Suites have separate living and sleeping areas, deep two-persons Japanese soaking tubs, rain fountain showers, stone fireplaces, and either a balcony (upstairs) or patio (downstairs) overlooking the deer paddock and Kaikouras spectacular environment. Other features include an LCD TV, DVD / CD player, iPod sound system, free wireless broadband, air conditioning / heating, fridge and tea and coffee facilities. Each Suite offers Hapuku Lodges custom furnishings - including a custom-built king-size bed that can be split into twin beds. There is a restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. This is a modern building. This accommodation has a medium lobby. General Eco lodge situated on a 600acre Deer Stud Farm with an olive grove and vineyard on site. The lodge is surrounded by native plantings and natural landscapes.Hapuku Lodge is a great base camp from which to undertake a marine safari. World famous whale watching, giant albatross encounters, playful dolphin and seal swimming, sea kayaking, and deep-sea fishing are available year round. For those staying off the high seas, options include Night Sky Tours, Maori Cultural Tours, scenic flights, horseback riding, biking, great hiking (or tramping as we call it in NZ), and the Baby Seal Colony just a short drive from the Lodge. Wine regions, north and south, are just a scenic drive away. Earliest check-in at 14:00. Porterage 24 hour. 1 outdoor pool. Car parking (Payable to hotel, if applicable). Sauna. Disabled facilities.
