Phuket is the largest island in Thailand. It has 48 km long, 21 km wide at its widest area. Located in southern Thailand, the west is the Andaman Sea coast and in southern province of Phang Nga is interconnected by a pair of road bridges.
Cea mai mare insula a Thailandei, Phuket, se afla la 862 km sud de Bangkok, numita adesea „Perla Sudului”. Pe cea mai populara insula din sud se gasesc stanci de calcar, plaje cu nisip alb, golfuri linistite si paduri tropicale. In insula sunt numai doua sezoane:
cel ploios (din mai pana in octombrie) si cel cald (noiembrie – aprilie).
